"In a message posted on the social networking site X, Maulana Tariq Jameel said," "Today, my son Asim Jameel has passed away in Tulemba."

Shahbaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a former prime minister, has conveyed his profound grief over the passing of his son Asim Jamil.

However, RPO Multan has been asked to provide a report on the occurrence by Punjab's Inspector General, Dr. Usman Anwar. 

The Punjab Police spokesperson claims that IG Punjab has stated that the forensic report and other evidence should be taken into consideration when determining the cause of death.
