The Pakistan Army Chief pledged his full support in combating illegal economic activities during the Corps Commanders' Conference.  

Rawalpindi (Press) The 260th Corps Commanders Conference was conducted at GHQ under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military). The forum also paid heartfelt homage to the extraordinary sacrifices made by the security forces and law enforcement agencies in preserving the nation from the threat of terrorism.

 

 The conference delegates swore that the state would use full force against any terrorists, facilitators, and motivators trying to destabilize Pakistan at the behest of hostile powers.

 

The Forum was briefed on the regional situation and its response strategy to the challenges and mounting risks to national security. The forum reaffirmed Pakistan's Army's commitment to defending the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity against all direct and indirect threats.

 

The forum voiced worry about the developments in the Gaza-Israel war as well as the loss of innocent civilian life as a result of Israel's use of force.

 

"The Palestinian" people have Pakistan's full diplomatic, moral, and political support, and we will continue to support our brothers' principled position for a lasting solution to the Palestinian issue, ending the illegal occupation of their land and Muslim holy sites," the army chief said."

 

The conference participants pledged that the actions taken by the government of Pakistan to resuscitate the economy would be supported in any way feasible for the overall welfare of the people of Pakistan.

 

The army commander emphasised that the Pakistan Army will continue to provide all feasible assistance to the government and law enforcement authorities in enforcing stringent legal measures against unlawful economic activities throughout the country.

 

The army chief also stated that operations against hoarding, smuggling mafias, and cartels will be stepped up in the coming days. So that the country can be spared the detrimental consequences of such economic activities.

 

 Participants in the conference agreed to fully back the federal government's plan to expel and repatriate all illegal immigrants by November 1, 2023.

 

Maintaining standards of professionalism during operations and achieving excellence in the training of formations were both emphasised by the Army Chief of Staff in order to ensure the dignified and safe repatriation and deportation of all illegal immigrants.
