Once more, the US has exercised its veto power over a resolution on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by the UN Security Council.

As per the news agency, Brazil proposed the Security Council resolution pertaining to the Gaza truce.

Following Russia's proposal for a ceasefire resolution in the Security Council, the United States has once again vetoed the proposal. The United States likewise outlawed them.

Twelve of the fifteen members of the Security Council abstained from voting in favor of the ceasefire resolution.

It should be highlighted that Israel has also gone beyond the pale of war crimes in Gaza; the Israeli army struck a hospital teeming with injured Palestinians, killing 500 of them, including women and children, and injuring hundreds more.

Over 3,500 Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israel's assault of Gaza. Over 13,000 people suffered injuries.

Global condemnation of the attack on the Israeli hospital included UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

In addition to stating that Hamas assaults could not be used as justification for collective punishment, Guterres condemned the Israeli bombardment on the hospital.

Because of the hospital attack, US President Joe Biden was visiting the region and the presidents of Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinians postponed their meeting.
